Sr. Fintech App Support Engineer

Job Description

  • Develop operational strategies and act as a subject matter expert on microservices and distributed systems for fintech applications
  • Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on operations
  • Proactively diagnose and resolve issues using in-depth log analysis, and prevent recurring problems
  • Continuously improve processes by identifying inefficiencies and applying solutions to improve service reliability
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops within the team
  • Be a member of a 24x7 shifting rotation
  • Qualification

    About you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any Information Technology or Engineering course
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting critical production services and optimizing operations through automation and process improvements
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles: e.g. observability, SLOs, eliminating toil

    At least 5 years experience working with the following:
  • Supporting critical production services, including response to major incidents and outages
  • Working in large-scale distributed systems as an SRE or DevOps engineer
  • Logging and monitoring: Splunk, Prometheus, or other APM & observability tools
  • Incident management: PagerDuty, ServiceNow
  • Version Control: Git

  • PLUS POINTS:
  • Operations experience in e-commerce, Payments systems, or financial services
  • Container Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell)
  • Relevant certifications in any of the key skills
  • Familiarity with SQL queries for troubleshooting
